01What the site is

Moonshot League runs a pre-incubator in San Francisco. This site describes the League, lets you leave your email address, and lets you apply to a program. Participation in a League program is governed by separate program terms, provided before you enroll. Nothing on this site is an offer of admission to a program.

02Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the site. If you are under 18, use the site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Each League program sets its own eligibility requirements.

03Leaving your email

Leaving your email address asks us to contact you about the League. We may email you program updates and event dates. You can opt out at any time, by the unsubscribe instructions in any email or by contacting us.

Leaving your email is not an application to a program. It creates no obligation on you or on us.

04Applying

The apply page sends us an application to a program. Submitting one asks us to consider you. It does not admit you, it does not reserve a place, and it creates no obligation on you or on us.

We decide who joins a program, and we may decline any application or close a program to new applications at any time. Applying is free.

05What you send us

The signup form includes an optional note, the application form asks for a link to your work and for your answers to its questions, and you may also email us. You keep ownership of anything you send. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use what you send in order to review it, operate the League, and contact you. Only send what you have the right to share.

We hear from many founders, and their projects are sometimes similar to each other. For that reason, do not send confidential information. Anything you send us is non-confidential, and we take on no obligation of confidence by receiving it.

06Acceptable use

When you use the site:

• Do not use it for anything unlawful.
• Do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Do not probe, overload, or interfere with the site or its infrastructure.
• Do not scrape the site or harvest information about other people.
• Do not submit malware, spam, or content you have no right to share.

We may remove content and block traffic that violates these rules.

07Accounts

If you create an account, keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly about any unauthorized use.

08Our content and marks

The site and its content belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable license to view the site for personal, non-commercial use. The Moonshot League name and logo are ours. Do not use them without our written permission.

09Events

League events may carry their own rules, capacity limits, and venue requirements. We may decline or revoke event admission at our discretion.

We may photograph and record League events. Attending one means you consent to our reasonable use of that photography and recording to document and promote the League.

10No promised outcomes

We promise no outcomes. Using the site, joining a list, or participating in a program does not guarantee admission to any program, funding, investment, or any other result.

11Other people's services

The site links to and is built on services run by others. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for them.

12Disclaimers

THE SITE IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

13Limits on liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MOONSHOT LEAGUE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, so some may not apply to you.

14Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that arise from your use of the site, from what you send us, or from your violation of these terms.

15Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access to the site at any time, with or without notice, including for violating these terms. The sections on what you send us, disclaimers, limits on liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.

16Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page, and we announce material changes on the site or by email. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

17Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes arising out of these terms or the site will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction.
